Esteros del Ibera
Located in the northeast province of Corrientes, Esteros del Ibera is a beautiful natural area with its own ecosystem. It has been made into an official Natural Reserve, seeking to protect this unique ecosystem. It is populated with many different species of flora and fauna, and is sought after by those who want to appreciate the generosity of nature.

Esteros translates to marsh or wetlands, and the word Ibera comes from two Guaraní words put together, meaning “bright water.” The name references the large number of lakes and mirrors of water, which reflect the sky. As far as fish, which are easily spotted in the clear waters, you will find dorados, shad, mojaras and even piranhas, gracefully swimming through the sixty-plus lagoons in Ibera.
